Yorktese

   About three years ago we started breeding our registered Yorkshire Terriers and registered Maltese to create Yorktese, (also referred to as Morkies or Maltkies).    We have truly fallen in love with the results.  Our Yorktese puppies have registered parents.  The little puppies are the best of both breeds.  They are shedless since both parents are shedless breeds, and are also very smart and easily trained.  They love to please and learn tricks.   They are very sociable.  They love to play, but are very much the cuddler also.  They have the gentleness as a Maltese but have the courage of a Yorkie.    They don’t need much exercise other than play so they are great for smaller living spaces.  They also get along great with other animals such as cats or other dogs.   We do ask that the puppies be supervised around small children and the puppies do need a little rest time to recover energy after play, when they are young.  We also suggest that they have a crate or bed for your puppy to be able to have some alone time.   They will quickly become your best friend, and steal your heart.

We have a variety of colors.   We have black and tans, (coloring as a Yorkie), black with a little white, black and white spotted, blondes or tan, and also some with black, tan, and white.  Their coats are beautiful and soft.  Sizes vary as well; the average is between 5 and 8 pounds.  At times, we do have some that stay smaller.
